• Are your products guaranteed?

All our doors and windows come with a 10-year manufacturer defect guarantee. Some internal doors have a 25-year guarantee, and our pre-finished oak doors have a 10-year finish guarantee. Additionally, Door Warehouse offer a 10-year workmanship guarantee. 

• How long does the whole process take?

Internal doors: 4-6 weeks from placing your order.

External doors, windows and stair renovations: 6-8 weeks from placing your order.

• Do I have to come into the showroom to place an order?

No. You’re more than welcome to visit our showroom, but we can provide a quote based from photos and approximate measurements. We'll do a site survey to measure up if you decide to go ahead.

• Can you tell me what the fire rating for my door is?

All of our internal fire doors have a 30-minute rating and come with a certificate.

• Do I need to buy door handles separately?

Yes, however, our pre-finished internal oak doors come with free handle packs on orders of 5 or more doors.

• How do I clean my internal doors?

Our pre-finished internal oak doors can be easily cleaned using a mild soap and warm water, you’ll just need a clean cloth to wipe down the surfaces.

• How do I clean my external composite door?

Warm soapy water is perfect for cleaning composite doors. Avoid using harsh chemicals and solvents: they have the potential to damage the door.

• Do doors come in standard sizes?
  

Yes. All our internal doors come in standard sizes: 30" being the most common, and 33" being part-M compliant (for disability access). Our fitting service includes trimming the lippings of your doors to get the fit spot on. If you have a door opening that isn't standard, we can provide a made to measure internal door.

Our external doors are made to measure. We can provide a quote from a photo of your existing door/opening. Once we have sent you a quote and you're happy to proceed, we'll pop out to take some actual measurements.

• What is a 'pre-finished door'?

A pre-finished door, also known as fully-finished, has had numerous coats of clear, hard-wearing AC lacquer professionally applied before being delivered. That means that your doors will arrived ready to hang, saving the time and effort involved in having to apply a door treatment on site. Pre-finished internal oak doors are our most popular door for this reason. That, plus the fact that they look great, and have a solid core.
